So, a little about me. I tend to ramble so we’ll try and make this short.
I’m a Jersey girl, through and through. I’m from West New York (don’t you love that there’s a town in New Jersey called West NEW YORK?) and I’ve bounced around North Jersey throughout my years. Yes, I’m a Benny—by definition only! I come in peace!
I’m completely made up of song lyrics and movie quotes. I can probably have an entire conversation comprised of Anchorman and Donnie Darko quotes. It’s a talent, I know. Jealous? I’m a big horror film fan. There’s nothing like a great scary movie. Any type, no matter how silly or gross will do. If it’s horror, I have to see it.
I love music. I’m classically trained in piano (oh, don’t I sound fancy!) and have always sang and played music my entire life. I thrive on a new tune. What types of music you ask? Everything! And I mean that. Start with some Nirvana and Our Lady Peace (my top two favorites). Throw in some old school Tu-Pac and Notorious B.I.G. (no coast wars, please). Mix in some Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Maybe sprinkle in some Metallica and The Killers. Oh and a pinch of Justin Timberlake! And you get my iPod. I’m a big 90’s music fan, anything from that decade will get me going. I love me some Muse and TV on the Radio. Sometimes I’ll pop in a good blues record and feel great about it...well, not pop in, you can’t pop anything into an iPod—I’ve tried. Well, except earphones...there I go with that rambling thing!
I’m also a big fan video games. I’m terrible at them, but if I don’t have at least two game consoles in my possession I feel out of sorts. Find me on Xbox live I’ll totally play some Halo with you. I also have a Wii, Mario Kart anyone?
I’m a radio geek. It’s the only medium I feel I can fully relate to. It’s been my dream to be on-air and I’m so grateful I’m getting the chance to do it.
